BT Productions proudly presents three new instructional videos for the Hammond organ, the New Series. Many of you have asked for instructional videos on playing blues and funk on the B-3. Some folks asked for video instruction covering a practical approach to playing the Hammond in a band setting. We've heard you. The result is the New Series videos featuring instruction by expert players in funk, blues, and all around Hammond playing. We're very proud of the content in this new instructional series.

The Hammondology Series...

The predecessor to the New Series is the acclaimed Hammondology Video Series. The Hammondology Video Series separately opens with an in-depth introduction to the Hammond organ containing valuable informations for both perspective and veteran Hammond owners. The series then follows up with extensive player's clinics in jazz and black gospel traditions. These videos all feature veteran players viewed closeup, including detailed views from a camers directly above the keyboards.

The Hammond sound and style is utterly unique. Playing a Hammond organ requires a very different set of skills than does playing a piano or synthesizer. With banks of drawbars, double manuals, pedal board, and other one-of-a-kind controls the Hammond offers it's own challenges and opportunities to the player. Over the decades, unique styles of Hammond playing have emerged in every musical genre to take advantage of the Hammond's unique controls and broad sonic character. The art of Hammond playing has evolved continually, developing a stylistic identity all it's own, entirely exclusive from that ofother types of keyboard instruments. The Hammondology Series and the New Series are designed to instruct and demonstrate the many unique styles and techniques of play that give the Hammond organ its instantly recognizable sound and classic identity.
