Analog Effects Modules by Bob Moog

Get excited about stomp boxes again! BT Productions is now offering Bob Moog´s new analog synth stomp boxes!

  • Modular synth versatility + stomp box convenience
  • Compatible with any instrument-level or line-level signal
  • Total voltage-control for Totally New Sounds
  • Use on table top or floor
  • Control with knobs and/or up to four expression pedals
  • Vintage synth look -- hardwood frame, classic knobs & switches
  • Authentic analog sound, design

From the legendary Bob Moog comes a new concept in effects processors - moogerfooger™ Analog Effects Modules. Combining the best of an effects pedal and a synth module, moogerfoogers give you lots of options:

  • Use them with any instrument-level or line-level music signal!
  • Place them next to your keyboard, mixer, or tuntable!
  • Set them on the floor while you play your guitar or bass!
  • Play the synthesizer-style knobs!
  • Plug in expression pedals -- up to four pedals in each one!
  • Control them with your MIDI-to-CV converter, analog synthesizer, even another moogerfooger!

These professional-quality all-analog voltage-controlled effects processors look great, produce amazing sounds, and are made to last. The knobs and hardwood-framed enclosure gives them a vintage-synth look. The authentic analog circuitry gives them a vintage-synth sound. But you can get them for much less than a vintage-synth price!

moogerfooger Lowpass Filter

The moogerfooger Lowpass Filter is a 2-pole/4-pole, variable-resonance, voltage-controlled filter, plus a fast-acting envelope follower. Control parameters are signal mix, cutoff frequency, resonance amount, and envelope amount. All of the Lowpass Filter's parameters can be controlled with expression pedals or external control voltages as well as by rotary panel controls. Panel switches select filter mode and envelope follower response speed. 1/4" TRS jacks are provided for pedal/control inputs and envelope follower output. Click for a closer view.

moogerfooger Ring Modulator

The moogerfooger Ring Modulator multiplies an audio input and a carrier oscillator to produce sum and difference frequencies. [click for close-up] The unit has a wide-range carrier oscillator (2 Hz to 4 kHz in two ranges) and a dual-waveform LFO (0.1 Hz to 25 Hz, sine and square waveforms). The control parameters are signal mix, carrier frequency, LFO rate, and LFO amount, all of which may be voltage-controlled as well as panel-knob-controlled. Panel switches select carrier oscillator range and LFO waveform. 1/4" TRS jacks are provided for pedal/control inputs, auxiliary audio input, and LFO and carrier oscillator outputs. Click for a closer view.

Audio signal input and output for both devices are on 1/4-inch jacks. Input level may be set from -16 to +4 dBm via a rotary level control; nominal output level is -4 dBm (0.5 volts RMS). Indicator LEDs include three-color input level, LFO/Envelope level, and two-color bypass/active status. Each moogerfooger module has its own rugged bypass switch that may be operated by hand or foot.
