The Nord Electro 2 Rack Module is a rack mountable version of the amazing Nord Electro 2 73 keyboard. It boasts the same features as that amazing keyboard. Perfect emulation of the famous electromechanical instruments, the mighty Hammond B-3, Rhodes Mk I Stage Piano, Wurlitzer 200A, Clavinet D6 and Electric Grand. Clavia's goal when developing the Nord Electro 2 was to create the best emulation of traditional electromechanical keyboard instruments on the market, and to make the instrument compact and lightweight. Nothing else. No brass banks, no orchestral sounds. No compromises. Just outstanding electromechanical keyboard sounds with true and authentic sound. The organ in the Electro 2 is based on a digital simulation of the mechanical tone wheels of the B-3 organ. It offers a number of very innovative solutions to mimic the typical B-3 sound. The piano section comprises several carefully multi-sampled electric piano instruments. As a bonus an acoustic grand piano sample (concert model) is included. The Electro 2 also sports a USB interface for quick and easy download of new piano sounds available free from Clavia's web site! The USB interface can also be used to install OS upgrades as they become available for download on Clavia's web site. The Electro 2 also features a very flexible effects section including a best-in-class rotary speaker simulation, phaser effects, chorus effects, flangers, auto-wah, manual wah-wah using the expression pedal (!), and tremolo. These effects are carefully designed to reproduce the famous effects used with these electromechanical instruments on countless classic recordings.
