The Level 5
Rotating Speaker Amplification System was developed after years of working with all types of professional players, from church organists to jazz virtuosos, from blues players to the heavy rockers. This custom designed amplifier was crafted by one of the top designers in the US and delivers incredible tone, unlimited control, loads of power, and rock solid reliability never before available to the professional musician.

The Level Five is loaded with great features (details below), but regardless of these awesome features, it's the sound that counts most and it's the sound that makes the Level 5 a killer amp. Over the years organ players and technicians alike and have hacked at rotating speaker systems in every way imaginable to try to make them louder, beefier, punchier, bigger sounding, adding high-powered solid state amps, high power compression drivers, beefy speakers, etc., etc. And all that hard work and ingenuity has generally produced only limited success. Often the modified amps are louder than before, but at the painful cost of lost tone, sounding unnatural, harsh, sterile, or worse. Well someone has finally gotten the high powered organ amp right. The Level Five delivers loads of rich creamy warm classic tone in a modern high powered hybrid amp.

Preamp

The heart of the Level 5 is its custom designed hybrid amp. The design employs a musical set of passive tone controls, and a versatile set of active tone controls layered into the signal path. The base tone is selected in the passive section, then sculpted by dialing-in boost/cut as needed in the active section. The designer chose a 6SN7 preamp tube for tone, clarity, and its ability to handle the wide range of the frequencies produced by a tone wheel organ or digital clone. The tone of this amp will stand up to any rotating speaker amp ever built!

Power Amp

The overwhelmingly common complaint about traditional rotating speaker systems is their lack of power. This is heard as insufficient volume, and an inability to handle complex playing styles such as soloing with left hand bass and simultaneous pedal bass playing at high levels. This has long been a key concern of musicians, churches, and institutions. The new Level 5 amp employs a custom wound power transformer and the proper capacitance to put 350 watts into the system. Volume to burn!

The Level 5 is the first amplifier/speaker system to truly deliver all the gorgeous tone of classic rotating speakers at volume levels that meet or exceed the demanding requirements of musicians, churches, and institutions. This amp is compatable with the mounting hardware in traditional tube powered amps in existing rotating speaker systems. Compatible speakers and drivers are sold with the Level 5 Amplifier.

The Whole Kit

The Level 5 amplifier is fully compatable with mounting hardware in the standard Leslie 122 or 147 type cabinet and can be installed using the existing brackets without modification.

The Level 5 packs far more power than a classic rotating speaker system such as the venerable Leslie model 122. So much so that the factory speakers must be replaced with speakers that can handle the power output of the Level 5 amplifier. The Level 5 amplifier is available in a kit that includes a replacement phenolic top driver and a 15" bass rotor speaker. These speakers are compatable with existing hardware in traditional Leslie model 122 and 147 style cabinets and deliver all the beautiful tone that the originals deliver, but with more punch and volume than you'd think possible.
